IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ ALL INFORMATION REGARDING
CANDLE CARE AS WELL AS THE WARNING LABEL AT THE
BASE OF YOUR CANDLE PRIOR TO BURNING
Always keep your candle out of reach of children and pets and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep lit candle on a heat proof and stable surface in an area free of drafts but with good ventilation.
Large candles should be burned for no longer than 4 hours at a time and small tins for no longer than 2 hours at a time.
To get the most out of your candle, let the wax melt across the entire surface to optimise scent throw and trim your wicks to 4mm before each burn. Trimming your wick prevents soot and 'mushrooming' of the wick.
It is very important that at the end of combustion at least 15mm of wax remains in the container. Burning below this point is very dangerous and may result in the glass cracking or breaking. Never let your candle burn to the very end or until it extinguishes itself.
Take care in extinguishing your candle and never use water to put out the flames as it can become highly flammable when mixed with the oils of the wax and fragrance.
To prevent tunnelling of your candle, let the wax melt across the entire surface for each burn. This creates a burn memory and could take up to 4 hours. If a small amount of wax is left around the sides of the glass, this should melt down in future burns.
As all of our candles are made with pure soy wax, there is a possibility that they may discolour or slightly frost on the glass over time,
particularly if left in direct sunlight.
WOOD WICK CARE
Wood wicks can be tricky and at times temperamental. We recommend holding the flame to the wick for at least 10 seconds when lighting and preferably use a lighter rather than matches.
It is best to slightly tilt the candle when lighting to ensure maximum flame is across the wick. It can sometimes take a few attempts to light a
candle with a wood wick.
Much like trimming a cotton wick candle, brushing off the charred ends of the wick before each burn will prolong the life of your candle and keep the
flame to a minimum.
